Workshops

The Circus Lab

Led by Aline Chapet-Batlle, an international aerialist with over 10 years of performing experience, assisted by Eric Roeting on the guitar, this 2 to 3 hours workshop is open to anyone with a physically based creative practice. You will let go of expectation and let your body find its own movement, get tips on how to trigger creativity, and experiment with improvised work on the ground or in the air.

This workshop is best enjoyed by amateur or professional physical performers, who are interested in finding new creative ways of moving and learning about performance making tricks. We separate age groups: 8-18, and 16+.

Previous editions took place at CirQuest Perth, the Margaret River Circus School and the Midwest Aerial and Acrobatic Studios in Geraldton.

If you’re interested in hosting a workshop in your school, get in touch!

Technical Skills

In this workshop, you will learn my signature sequence on aerial silks, and get tools to expand your aerial knowledge, find new pathways and tricks to enhance your technical skills and make them yours.

This workshop is best enjoyed by intermediate to advanced students with a committed relationship with aerial silks. Pre-requisites usually include inversions, Russian climbs, catchers, and the confidence to drop.

Previous editions took place at The Australian Circus Festival, CirQuest Perth, the Margaret River Circus School and the Midwest Aerial and Acrobatic Studios in Geraldton.
